Thomas D. Bartlett Sr. of East Hill Street, Gowanda passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born May 24, 1934 in Buffalo, the son of John and Ruth Bartlett.
Tom honorably served his country with the United States Army.
Thomas married the former Jean I. Smolarczyk on September 3, 1960 at the St. Joseph's RC Church in Gowanda. Jean survives.
Survivors, besides his wife of nearly 57 years, are two sons, Thomas (Cathy Sternisha) Bartlett, Jr. of Gowanda and David (Yvonne) Bartlett, also of Gowanda; and grandchildren, Dakota, Tommy II, Aurora, Brair and Zoe. Nieces and nephews also survive.
A private family funeral will take place on Wednesday, February 22, with burial to follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery Gowanda. Fr. Joseph Porpiglia officiating.
If desired, memorials may be made to the local charity of one's choice.
