Jean Keith Wiggers Hanson, 99, formerly of Sherman, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 in the St. Mary's Home of Erie, PA. She was born January 26, 1918 in Sherman, the daughter of the late Edgar and Erma Mings Keith.
Jean had been a legal secretary during her working years.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Acacia Chapter 96 in Sherman and a member of the North Clymer United Methodist Church in North Clymer.
Jean enjoyed genealogy, bowling, and time with her family.
She is survived by a son, William (Lorraine) Wiggers of Sherman; a daughter, Kaye Wiggers (Raymond "Joe") Majerik of Waterford, PA; five grandchildren, Erica (Dan) Webster, Amanda (Lee) Laurito, Tracy Majerik, Heidi (David Seyboldt) Majerik, and Stacy Goins; four great-grandchildren, Alex Webster, Gabriel Seyboldt, Elysia and Gia Laurito. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald A. Wiggers; her second husband, Norman Hanson; and a son, Gerald Wiggers, Jr.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM. Sunday, February 12 in the North Clymer United Methodist Church in North Clymer. Pastor John Rough will officiate. Burial will be in the Clymer Center Cemetery. A service by the Eastern Stars Acacia Chapter 96 will be held at 12:45 PM, with calling hours to follow from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the church.
