An investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Attorney's Office has resulted in an indictment warrant being issued for 41-year-old Gary Hannold of Bemus Point. Late Thursday, authorities arrested Hannold at his residence on Ellery-Centrailia Road. During the investigation, Hannold was stopped by a County Sheriff's deputy and found to be in possession of over 680 grams of meth. As a result, Hannold was indicted by a federal grand jury, charging himn with one count of unlawfully possessing with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine. Hannold was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail. He'll be arraigned in U.S. District Court at a later date.
