Jamestown Police investigators say the body that was recovered Tuesday afternoon from the Chadakoin River has been positively identified as the 35-year-old Jamestown man who had been missing for more than a month. Sean Carpenter went missing on April 11 as he was walking in the downtown area and heading for his home on Superior Street. An autopsy was performed this week by the Erie County Medical Examiner's Office. Police say the official cause of death has not yet been determined and will be released when it is known.
