The State DEC has issued an air quality health advisory for most of Western New York including Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Erie counties for elevated levels of ozone. The advisory runs from 11 am until 11 pm today. When pollution levels are elevated, the State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity, including the very young and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease.
