While strong thunderstorms dropped more than an inch of rainfall in parts of Western New York Tuesday morning, the same weather system brought some severe weather to parts of Eastern New York. There's widespread damage throughout Saugerties, New York, near the Hudson River, after a powerful storm swept through the area. Brandon Anders says he's never experienced a storm this strong, saying hail pummeled the entire area. He says the hail was about the size of wood chips. Another resident, 10-year-old Abby says she was terrified when a massive tree on her front lawn came crashing down on her house, just missing her bedroom window.
