An investigation into the sales of illegal cigarettes has led to the arrest of a Jamestown man this morning. Jamestown Police, Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, State Police CNET and State Office of Tax and Finance executed a search warrant at an apartment at 262 Forest Avenue around 8:30 am. Inside, investigators located more than 50 cartons of untaxed cigarettes and several thousand dollars in cash. 46-year-old Steven Patterson has been charged with criminal tax fraud 5th and felony possession of unstamped/untaxed cigarettes. Patterson was transported to the city lock up pending arraignment.
