Jamestown Police Arrest Four on Drug and Weapon Charges

Four people from Steuben County were arrested on drug and weapon charges during a traffic stop in Jamestown on Wednesday. Jamestown Police pulled over a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Michael Dubois of Canisteo for a traffic violation at the intersection of Falconer Street and Winsor Street just before 3:15 AM. Inside the vehicle, officers found two ounces of methamphetamine, nine bags of heroin, a loaded 9 mm pistol, and a .380 pistol. Dubois was taken into custody, along with 39-year-old Glenn Shugart of Elmira, 32-year-old Sheldon Peet of Painted Post, and 36-year-old Megan Harkenrider of Hornell. All four are facing two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminally using drug paraphernalia. Dubois was additionally charged with 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation, and failure to use a turn signal. All were arraigned and have been committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.
