Three Approvals Granted for Jamestown Brewing Company

The Jamestown Planning Commission has given three key approvals for the new Jamestown Brewing Company, which is expected to open later this year in the former Lillian Ney Renaissance Center. The commission approved the formal site plan for the project, located at 119 West 3rd Street, during Tuesday's meeting. City Development Director Vince DeJoy says there is one matter yet to be addressed, but he adds it will be during building renovations...

DeJoy says the second approval was for the new owner's State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Act documents. He says they also approved the state Historical Review so the project can receive Historic Tax Credits. DeJoy says permits can now be granted for work to begin on the building. He says city officials are "tremendously excited" about the opening, hopefully before the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival in August...

Vince DeJoy: buzz in the air

A father and son from the Buffalo area are undertaking the project. DeJoy says they expect to begin brewing three types of beer before the brewery and restaurant formally open to the public.
