An expelled student is blamed for opening fire with an AR-15 rifle, killing 17, injuring 15 others at Marjory Stoneham Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on Wednesday. Authorities say 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz was arrested a few blocks from the school after trying to blend in with evacuating students. Cruz has been booked into Broward County Jail. He is charged with 17 counts of pre-meditated murder. The gun Cruz allegedly used is an AR-15-style rifle and was apparently purchased legally by the suspect according to an official briefed on the matter. School is closed for remainder this week with all activities being cancelled. Grief counselors are available Thursday in several locations.
