Ansuini-Transition to lake effect to occur this afternoon
Everyone will get some snowfall out of the lake effect system, with total snow accumulations of 10 to 15 inches are expected in the most persistent lake snows, with local amounts of up to 20 inches across the higher terrain of Chautauqua County. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause considerable blowing and drifting snow with near whiteout conditions at times.
