The Winter Storm Watch has been replaced with a Lake Effect Snow Warning from 10 pm Monday evening to 7 pm Wednesday evening for Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Southern Erie counties. That's the word from the National Weather Service. A general snow tonight will transition to lake effect snow on Tuesday according to Meteorologist Jon Hitchock of the Buffalo office. He says travel will be very difficult at times...
Hitchcock-Begins as a widespread snow
Total snow accumulations of 10 to 15 inches are expected in the most persistent lake snows, with local amounts of up to 20 inches across the higher terrain of Chautauqua County.
