A Cattaraugus County woman was taken into custody after an incident in which she allegedly made several 911 calls. According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office, 41-year-old Linda Tally of Randolph called the 911 emergency line 17 times and the non-emergency line 15 times on Thursday after being told to stop. Deputies say Tally then actively resisted arrest and was taken into custody. Police later discovered that Tally had a felony arrest warrant out of the City of Olean, charging her with 4th-degree welfare fraud and 4th-degree grand larceny. While Tally was being processed, she allegedly refused to answer all questions. In addition to the warrant charges, Tally was charged with two counts of 2nd-degree obstruction and one count of resisting arrest. She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Olean City Court on Tuesday.
