Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies have charged a Sherman man with one count of 4th-degree criminal possession of weapon. Investigators were conducting a follow-up investigation on Bement Road in Sherman at about 9:15 this morning and found that 40-year-old John Ferguson possessed a weapon and was not allowed to have it. Ferguson was issued an appearance ticket for Sherman Town Court.
