The merger process between the Panama and Clymer Central School Districts has come to a sudden halt with residents of one of the districts resoundingly voting against continuing the process. In Monday's straw poll conducted in both districts, the non-binding vote saw Clymer overwhelmingly defeat the measure, 654-186. Panama School District voters approved the referendum 192-168.
