Dunkirk city officials hope major upgrades are completed by Memorial Day 2018 at Point Gratiot, so that city residents and visitors alike can enjoy the park improvements next summer. A ground breaking ceremony was held Monday for the project, helped along by a $500,000 state grant from area State Senator Cathy Young.
