Reed visits Lakewood to announce proposals to help area hospices

Area Congressman Tom Reed is getting the support of regional Hospice organizations to support two measures he has introduced that would improve access and financial support for "end of life" services. Reed was at Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakewood to get the local backing for The Patient Choice and Quality Care Act and the Rural Access to Hospice Act. Reed-proposed legislature would help area hospices
Right now, Reed says unless your primary care doctor has the proper certifications, they can't be reimbursed for their services. Representatives of the Corning and Olean area hospices were also on hand for the announcement.
