The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reports the arrest of two men after an investigation into a vehicle larceny on Route 5 in the town of Sheridan on September 16th where credit cards and bank checks were taken. 38-year-old Philip Tirone of Forestville is accused of breaking into the vehicle and then using one of the stolen credit cards to unlawfully withdraw money from an ATM in the town of Hanover. Tirone and 45-year-old Robert Stepowski of Perrysburg are also accused of attempting to cash stolen and forged checks at a bank in the village of Silver Creek. Tirone and Stepowski were picked up on arrest warrants and arraigned on a bevy of charges. Both were remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on bail.
