Lock Out in Lake Shore District Lifted After Arrest of Suspect

The lock out for Lake Shore Central Schools was lifted late Friday afternoon after Evans Town Police arrested a suspicious male that was in the area. Officers say 26-year-old Jose Alvira was originally spotted in the Village of Angola, a short distance from one of the elementary schools in the Lake Shore District. Alvira was taken into custody on a warrant from the Town of Brant. No implied or direct threat was made to any students or any of the schools. Police say the lock out was followed as a precaution.
