Fredonia to Hold Founders Day Celebration

The State University of New York at Fredonia will hold its first ever Founders Day celebration on Thursday. The commemoration is being held in honor of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the university. Fredonia President Dr. Virginia Horvath spoke with WDOE News about the commemoration. The celebration will include an historic reenactment, as well as a musical tribute to silent films. Fredonia Mayor Athanasia Landis will also be involved in the celebration...

Festivities will begin at 7:00 PM with a march led by campus drummers from the flagpole outside Gregory Hall on the Fredonia campus. The march will proceed down Temple Street to the 1891 Fredonia Opera House.
