A Jamestown man has been handed a lengthy prison term in connection with a double homicide in 2015. Chautauqua County District Attorney Patrick Swanson says 53-year-old Allen Witruke was sentenced Tuesday in Mayville to concurrent sentences of 20 years in prison, as well as five years post-release supervision, on two counts of 1st-degree manslaughter. Witruke had fatally stabbed his wife, Catherine Witruke, and fatally beaten and stabbed his stepson, Eric Washburn, at 235 Barrows Street on December 8th, 2015. He then fled to Olean before being located by Olean Police. Swanson called the case "tragic and heartbreaking," and "was satisfied that the defendant accepted responsibility for his actions."
