The National Weather Service in Buffalo has ended the tornado watch which had been in effect for all of Western New York. Much of the severe weather that hits parts of Chautauqua County earlier today has left the area. There was also a tornado warning for portions of the county during the early afternoon, but there were no reports of any actual tornadoes. There was also a report of a transformer that caught fire on Route 20 in the Town of Hanover that may have been caused by a lightning strike. A tornado watch remains in effect for much of New York State from the Finger Lakes region eastward.
