A 32-year-old man is being held on $20,000 cash bail for allegedly burglarizing a home in the Town of Pomfret. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies received a 911 call from a resident on Chautauqua Road at about 12:15 PM Wednesday. The resident told police that James Hanson had unlawfully entered his home, and he was later seen running into a wooded area. Deputies, along with Fredonia Police and State Police, searched the wooded area, but could not find him. However, Fredonia Police received information Friday morning that Hanson had been seen in the village. Hanson was taken into custody on a warrant for 2nd-degree burglary. He was arraigned in Pomfret Town Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.
