An early morning traffic stop in downtown Jamestown on Saturday led to drug charges against a 23-year-old man. Jamestown Police pulled over a vehicle for a loud exhaust near the intersection of West 3rd Street and Cherry Street shortly after 3:00 AM and learned that the driver, 23-year-old Daniel McKay, had a suspended driver's permit and is on parole. While McKay was being arrested, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin, methamphetamine, and cash. He is charged with 3rd- and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 2nd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and inadequate muffler.
