Flames heavily damage portion of Jamestown's former Arcade Building

Flames have heavily damaged the former two-story shoe store that was part of the former Arcade Building on North Main Street in Jamestown. However, crews were able to prevent serious damage to the main structure next to the railroad tracks. Jamestown fire crews were called to the scene between First Street and Brooklyn Square after 4 pm Wednesday. Harvey says it took about 30 to 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control. No injuries were reported. Jamestown received mutual aid from Falconer and Kiantone at the scene. The cause is under investigation.
