Area fire departments are reminding local residents that a statewide burning ban remains in effect through May 14. Firefighters from Cassadaga and Stockton were called to a report of a structure fire around 10:30 this morning at 7432 Rt. 60 near Cassadaga. It reportedly turned out to be rubbish fire. It was apparently the second call to the same location in five days. The state prohibits residential burning during the high-risk fire season to reduce wildfires.
