The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a drowning victim on Route 5 in the town of Sheridan this morning. Officials are releasing few details about the death involving an elderly male. The victim was located behind St. Columban's on the Lake shortly after 7:30 am. Foul play is not suspected according to investigators. The victim's name is being with-held until family members are notified. Sheridan Fire also assisted at the scene.
