Governor Andrew Cuomo traveled to Erie County on Thursday to promote his proposal that would reduce property taxes by empowering voters to approve locally-designed plans that deliver shared, coordinated services and lower the cost of local government. The proposal, part of his state budget plan, would require county executives to convene local government to meetings to develop shared service plans that reduce duplicative spending and find recurring property tax savings.
