The latest lake effect snow event came off as predicted across the hill tops of Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. The National Weather Service is continuing a Lake Effect Snow Warning until 4 pm today. Meteorologist Dave Thomas at the Buffalo office says snowfall totals ranged from 8 to 14 inches across the Chautauqua Ridge, with lesser amounts along the Lake Erie shoreline...

Perrysburg is reporting 14.5 inches and Cassadaga about 9 inches. Much lesser amounts across the lower elevations...about 1 to 3 inches in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area. Another 2 to 3 inches of snow is possible today, with the greatest totals along the higher terrain of the Chautauqua Ridge.
