Firefighters from two departments were called out to the Cassadaga Valley Middle/High School yesterday afternoon for a small fire in the school's wood shop. The fire involved a waste basket. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and placed the basket outside. Firefighters from Sinclairville and Gerry responded along with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's office. No word on what caused the fire.
