Governor Andrew Cuomo has nominated Rowan Wilson to serve as an Associate Judge on the State Court of Appeals, New York’s highest court. Wilson is a litigation partner in the New York office of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he has worked for the past 30 years, and leads the firm’s pro bono work. If the nomination is approved by the State Senate, it will mark the first time in the court's history that two African-American judges have served at the same time. The nomination was sent to the State Senate late Sunday.
