A Dunkirk man was taken into custody Saturday night after he was allegedly discovered to be in possession of a stolen firearm. At about 8:45 PM, Dunkirk Police responded to 68 King Street, where 27-year-old Damian Young was seen in the roadway being disorderly and shouting profanities. Officers arrested Young after ignoring several commands. Further investigation revealed that Young allegedly had a stolen firearm which was linked to a previous burglary complaint in the city. Young is being held in the Dunkirk City Jail without bail on felony charges of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal possession of stolen property, as well as one count of disorderly conduct.
