McDermott says he believes there are quality players on the roster, but he would not comment about any specific players including the future of quarterback Tyrod Taylor. As head coach, McDermott says he will be involved in "all three phases"of the game. He would not indicate what coaches would be on his staff, calling it an "active situation." McDermott did say that Danny Crossman will stay on as special teams coach.
