A teenager is facing charges after he allegedly damaged approximately $1,500 worth of crops in the Town of Ellington on Saturday. State Police in Jamestown were called to a report of a vehicle stuck on a piece of property and interviewed the property owner, the teen, and several witnesses. An investigation revealed that the land was properly posted, and the off-road incident was not accidental. The unidentified teen was charged with felony 3rd-degree criminal mischief and trespassing, and is scheduled to appear in Ellington Town Court later this month.
