A woman in Gowanda was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after she was struck by a vehicle in the village on Friday. Emergency responders were called to the intersection of South Chapel Street and West Main Street shortly after 5:15 PM. According to Gowanda Police, the driver of the vehicle was making a left turn onto South Chapel Street when her vision was obstructed by the headlights of an approaching vehicle. Police say the woman, who was wearing dark clothing, was crossing the street, and the driver never saw her.
