Ahlstrom says there is no cost to taxpayers for County Home in 2012

A member of the Chautauqua County Legislature says the County Home will not be costing county taxpayers anything in 2012 despite statements to the contrary. Legislator Keith Ahlstrom says there may be an $11,000 a day shortfall, but he says it is not costing taxpayers right now.

Ahlstrom, who serves on the County Legislature's County Home Ad Hoc Committee, says he hopes the study by the Center for Governmental Research will help develop ways to make the County Home more efficient. But regardless of the results, Ahlstrom says he will not vote to sell the County Home.
