Outpouring of support following death of Sheriff's deputy

There has been an out-pouring of support from the community following the death of a Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputy who died from a medical emergency while off-duty on Wednesday.  Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace says his office has received a lot of support after learning of the death of Deputy Kevin Link.  Gerace says the 16-year member of the Sheriff's Office had a tremendous impact on the force and the community...

Link was the school resource officer at Silver Creek High School.  School Superintendent Todd Crandall says Kevin genuinely cared for the students...

And Link made the connection students. Crandall says for the past two-days, students have been signing a poster that's been on display in the school cafeteria with photos of the SRO.  It will be presented to Kevin's family according to Crandall.  Gerace says the Sheriff’s Office is receiving words of support from other police agencies throughout the area.
