Because of the busy travel weekend, Governor Andrew Cuomo today announced that non-essential lane closures for road and bridge construction projects on state highways will be suspended from this Friday at 6 am to Tuesday morning at 6 am. The move will be made to help minimize traffic congestion and travel delays due to road and bridge work. Some work may continue behind permanent concrete barriers or for emergency repairs.
