Chautauqua Institution Attendance Figures Up from 2015

With the 2016 season to wrap up on Sunday, officials at Chautauqua Institution are extremely pleased with attendance figures. Chautauqua Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer George Murphy says it's been a solid summer, with attendance figures up from 2015.  Murphy says the number of visitors during the day is up anywhere from 3.0% to 3.5% from last year, and attendance for evening entertainment is up 20%...

Murphy says four Amphitheater events were sell outs and he says the final week of the season has been very strong. The Chautauqua season wraps up with the three taps of gavel on Sunday.
