2016 Chautauqua County Fair Is "Well Received" So Far

So far, this year's edition of the Chautauqua County Fair has been "very well received." That from the fair's Board President, Dave Wilson.  Speaking with WDOE News on Thursday, Wilson says there have been great turnouts for the main events at the grandstand, including Tuesday night's demolition derby and Wednesday night's performance by the Aerial Arts of Rochester.  Wilson says there hasn't been one event that he considers a big draw, but adds the Fair Board takes pride on having three solid areas...

Friday marks the fair's annual showpiece event -- the Chautauqua County 4-H meat animal sale, which gets underway at 12:00 PM.  Wilson says this year's meat animal sale will be "one of the largest ever."
