Search resumes this morning for missing Conewango Valley man

Search efforts are resuming this morning for a Cattaraugus County man who is missing and presumed drowned in Chautauqua Lake. This will be the fifth day of the search for 48-year-old Ricky Whipple of Conewango Valley. Whipple was riding an inner tube that was being towed by a boat, when he fell into Chautauqua Lake around 7 pm Saturday evening. The search for Whipple continued until nightfall on Wednesday. Crews were gathering around 6 am today to resume the search efforts.
