A Ripley man is facing a number of drug-related charges following a search of his apartment. Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force agents, State Parole, and Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies went to a location on Route 20 on Thursday to check on 28-year-old Rance Freeman, Jr. As a result of the check, Freeman was initially charged with a parole violation. Freeman had also allegedly sold quantities of narcotics to a Task Force agent. A search of his apartment found an additional quantity of oxycodone. Freeman was additionally charged with one count of 3rd-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail on the parole violation and will be arraigned on the other charges in Ripley Town Court.
