City firefighters quell early morning fire on South Warsaw Street

Dunkirk firefighters responded to an early morning fire in Dunkirk's First Ward. Fire crews were called out to 120 South Warsaw Street around 3:30 am. City Fire Chief Mike Edwards says residents were alerted to the fire that occurred on a back deck and used a garden hose to knock down the initial fire. Fire personnel were able to extinguish the remaining fire. The fire, which is under investigation, did not cause any injuries according to Edwards...

There was moderate heat damage to the rear wall of the house. The Fire Department was on location for approximately 30 minutes. There were no injuries. The residents were able to occupy the house after the fire. The fire is under investigation.
