Authorities have made an arrest in connection with a house fire that occurred in Jamestown last month. Jamestown Fire officials saw multiple items in the debris from the blaze at 136 Maple Street that occurred on April 18th and found that the location may have been used to manufacture methamphetamine. Members of Jamestown Police and the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force later executed a search warrant for the home and found multiple items used for manufacturing meth. Investigators filed a warrant for 36-year-old Richard Brown, who was charged with 3rd-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. He was located, then committed to the Chautauqua County Jail. The investigation into the fire is continuing, and additional charges are expected.
