State Police in Collins arrested a Cattaraugus County man Saturday morning for felony drunk driving on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation. At about 2:00 AM, troopers pulled over a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Asa Washburn of Salamanca on Route 438 near Versailles Plank Road for an inadequate exhaust. Washburn allegedly failed a series of field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Police say he had numerous DWI arrests, with a conviction for DWI within the past 10 years, and had numerous revocations and suspensions and did not have a driver's license. Washburn was arraigned on charges that include felony DWI, 2nd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and operating a vehicle without an interlock device. He is being held on $2,500 bail.
