Jamestown Police are investigating a IRS phone scam case where an elderly victim lost more than $4,000. Police investigators say the victim, responding to a caller that posed as an IRS Tax agent, sent multiple money orders to Las Vegas, Nevada. Police are warning the public that the IRS does not operate this way and would not contact you via telephone and ask you to pay in this manner.
