One person was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital following a crash involving a vehicle and a tractor in the Town of Pomfret. According to State Police, 20-year-old Dyllan Tieszak of Fredonia was traveling on Van Buren Road around 1:00 PM Friday, when he tried going around the tractor. However, Tieszak's brakes reportedly failed, causing his vehicle to hit the left rear corner of the tractor. The driver of the tractor, 34-year-old Shane Woollett of Portland, was transported to Brooks via Alstar Ambulance for minor injuries. No charges were filed.
