Organizers are getting ready for the 71st annual Gerry Rodeo and a record number of competitors will be coming to this year's PRCA rodeo. Rodeo's Publicity Director Paul Cooley says the rodeo runs four nights, August 5 through 8. He says a larger amount of prize money is drawing some of the top rodeo competitors in the nation to Gerry.

Cooley says more than 200 pro cowboys and cowgirls will be competing for $45,000 in prize money in the seven rodeo events. He says tickets are still available for the rodeo which runs for four nights.
