Akkerman, who received his medical degree at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, says he won't mind the cold winters in Western New York. He was born in Siberia and raised in Russia. The Pain Management Clinic will be located on the main floor of the hospital on Central Avenue in Dunkirk.
