Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that it will now allow customers to print temporary licenses online when they use the state DMV online service to renew their driver's license, but the move does not sit well with County Clerk Larry Barmore. He says it's the latest attempt by the state to entice customers to use the online service rather that the local DMV offices. In a statement, Barmore says the way online transactions are being handled is "very short-sighted." He says diverting money from the counties to the state will force local DMV offices to close across the state.
